weird how normalised the doublethink of “defence” meaning “offence” is in an age where virtually the entire science of fortifications has become useless on a large scale unless it involves tunnelling deep into the ground

through the imagination of a 12 year old, you can find a secret boat hidden in the level to access it and then the building inside of the island contains a passageway to… a whole huge secret part of the game. it would be really amusing if someone did a hack of Goldeneye where you they place a secret entrance to that island in the mission and you access all the new levels through there.

Something like this featured in my ideal A Link to the Past remake, as imagined by me a decade and a half ago: the game would allow you, though secret Death Mountain shenanigans, to access Hyrule as seen in Zelda II. Nintendo still hasn’t called me about it.
