I mostly remember Xak and Xak 2 for PCECD as bad Ys.
Was unsure whether to put this in the videogame things I think about a lot thread or not...
As a little boy, I used to hover over my older brotherâs shoulder whenever heâd play advance wars on the gba and whenever this music would come on Iâd keep repeating my own invented lyrics along with the main melody line that kicks in after the introâŠ
Hereâs how it went:
You make me feel like dancinâ in the city
My myyyyy, daaaaaanciiiiiiiiinâ
Etc, etcâŠ
Do whatever you want with this information, perhaps now I am finally free of the advance wars curseâŠ
this is at almost exactly 50 beats per minute and i am here for that kind of tempo
if youâre playing youâd probably count it at 100 since 50 is perhaps too slow to feel the pulse properly but i feel it at 50
EDIT: AI got me
Sorry if covers tire you but Im mildly obsessed with Mariachi de Castlevania

This oneâs real good. When the guitars cut in near the end⊠thatâs the stuff:
Notably, Ian McDonald of King Crimson worked on this OST.
The irregular time signature on this one is cool too:
Apparently âking Crimsonâ is the name a of a city in the game
I simply must play this game, it looks so fucking cool.
A dieselpunk SRPG by the creator of Last Exile (Range Murata) and the creator of Serial Experiments Lain (Yasuyuki Ueda), with an absolutely kickass soundtrack by Ian McDonald.
I know it will be tedious as fuck in the way that a lot of non-Tactics Ogre SRPGs of the rea are but Iâm absolutely here for everything else.
it has a translation, too!
I see this one: SEGA Saturn 27th Anniversary Game Competition | Page 2 | SegaXtreme
Which might be good enough, though it hasnât yet been debugged. Just to check, is there another one out t here?
Im also planning on digging into it. I might have this already. I think CDRomance had a copy before they went subs only.
Back when I was in high school, my friend had a physical copy of this game so I tried it out on her saturn and the sense of disappointment I felt upon realizing its a tedious and painfully slow SRPG was immense
Itâs a fun game and is worth playing.
