100% agree, I think it says more about prevailing games tastes than the games themselves that people prefer a roguelite “we have to make money on this somehow” expansion to the main 0451 experience

I lost it twice while watching this virtuoso Nintendo zoomer performance when it became a Sonic Adventure DX video and again at the end when it became a Bass Pro Shop video.

His videos complaining about packaging for Greatest Hits re-releases or showing off his collection of Wii Us are transcendental.

I always imagined Scott the Woz to be like a man in his 30s with strange console proclivities who just happened to look like he’s maybe 20. But maybe I’m bad at this judgment, or there’s something about youtube thumbnails, because I for the longest time thought Tim was like a bookish 20 year old who was making youtube videos that are too long like the rest of the bookish 20 year olds.

Mr. Scott Here isn’t even 25 yet, which means that he started his YouTube career when he was like 19 or 20. feels extremely messed up imo

Also, in the process of looking up this information I found out that vgdunkey is younger than me. This feels very impossible.

Is this thread fine for individual videos about videogames? I thought this one was good but can’t speak for the channel. I like the narrator’s dryness and clear way of speaking, there’s a kind of humor sometimes. And glitches and videogame logic is always just kind of innately humorous.

i’ve had to explain many people who just discovered him via the Kotaku videos and his current channel years of Tim-related backstory/context. it makes me feel strange sometimes for many different reasons.
