Oh, that’s a handy tip! But I was able buy the spells outright, and I have thoroughly explored Arrapago Reef. It’s a little funny how the cutscenes keep implying that I escorted some child past all these lamias and spectres, when I actually just hid from everything. I’m a Corsair now!

Yeah it’s very useful to level RDM/WHM first so you get those spells. That’s what I did (WHM first). Allows you to skip long murder-grinds through areas.
