There’s also a second thread that’s basically the same except you didn’t need to spoiler tag I suppose… this is madness!!! We should merge em!!

please do not use that other thread for actual discussion of the game proper (thank you)
look it was 2018 i was still trying to fit in and back then everyone was making really annoying thread titles that didn’t reference the game they were actually talking about.
shit this was before i transitioned. jesus.
times have changed and so have i!!! also the thread title now
It’s a good thread title Brent.
this is one of the more immediately recognizable thread titles imo, but parenthetical context is always appreciated
i added another anagram
Hard launderette (deltarune thread)
I keep thinking it’s the name of a Wolf Team game
Really taking my time with Chapter 4, it’s been great so far.
Loved the scene with Ralsei’s room where they hit you with Lost Girl, how Susie’s approach is just to bullying his sense of worthlessness out of him and trying to fix it all. She doesn’t remotely understand his situation but that of course doesn’t really matter.
That we don’t really know what Ralsei is helps, for all we know the Darkners could just be shadows of Lightner world things, unable to become distinct. We know that Tenna is the TV, and the TV exists and presumably sees new things, which Tenna will probably talk about in the Darkling world, so, I guess my thought on Ralsei is that if his Lightner side died somehow, he can reasonably believe he can’t ever become anything more than he is.
Anyways, constantly reminded how much heavy lifting the soundtrack does in this game to set the mood and sell the drama. Partly why Chrono Cross is so effective to me is that that soundtrack gets the sorrow through as well as the dialogue, it counts for a whole lot.
I recall reading one persuasive hypothesis about Ralsei—I forget where it was exactly; it might even have been from someone here—but the idea is that Ralsei looks similar to Asriel, but is distinctly different. The obvious difference between Asriel’s portrayal in Undertale and Ralsei’s appearance in Deltarune is the absence or presence of horns. I think there’s a point where you can examine the refrigerator with Susie present in which she comments on an old photo of Kris when they were younger—and what were they wearing, to appear more monster-like? A pair of red horns.
i was thinking to point you here from the fake spoilers thread but it looks like you did post in here earlier
it’s a good one to take your time with; the mood is more quiet and heavy
We have fun with analysis and our theories and all that, but at this end of the day, THIS is truly what this series is about.
Was looking on Twitter to see tweets about the whole TripTicket sidequest in chapter 3, and I can’t freaking believe people are seriously saying it’s “too hard” and it “makes no sense”. These people would be crushed to powder by half the stuff La Mulana or The Witness makes you do.
awwww
also I’m dust now
