TRUE BLOOD IS THE BEST SHOW EVER I KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT IT IVE BEEN FORCING SB PEOPLE TO SLOWLY WATCH IT IN BACHELORS DISCORD WE’RE ON SEASON 3 pants

its aged perfectly but it hit fucking hilariously when it came out too

its hilarious how planned out every little thing was. like someone was there just absolutely ready for the smart ass ‘what if’ questions and i always get a fucking hoot out of it when watching true blood with someone else for the first time

speaking as someone who is from connecticut and holds a lot of opinions about both waspy and non-waspy white people, that’s kind of the whole problem with the show in a nutshell, actually

the poker face episode where nick nolte plays fake phil tippett and also the real phil tippett does the animations was laser targeted at me

Do not fuck with Seimetz, people!

Seimetz is such a wonderful director. not many people have made a movie as humid as sun don’t shine.
reading this stuff yesterday was a real grim 1-2 punch

I have very suspect tv/movie tastes but I enjoyed Mr. Robot as it was often structurally ambitious, while openly acknowledging that the middle two seasons are not on the same level as the first or last ones.

Everyone I’ve know that’s watched the whole thing seemed to love it. At the very least, they all seem to agree that they stuck the landing.

mr. robot - often enjoyable but also often quite silly. first and last seasons are def the highlights

orphan black - great first few seasons but my interest petered off

good tv: watch severance

We just watched We Own This City and it has the Punisher doing a Dundalk accent and also my friend from college is in it for like 30 seconds and has a couple lines so you could watch that I guess

i think i watched a couple episodes of this in high school but the only memory i have of it is the protagonist getting eaten by a ball. i assume that’s just what living in britain is like

too late! but yeah that one’s good. it maybe banks a little too hard on its cliffhanger but i guess that’s pretty typical. fun mix of sf and something more… magical realist? and it’s fun to see the leads play up the separation. existentialist gap moé

is this like riverdale but for twilight

the cast are all adults, so no, but the escalation of plots is a bit like riverdale

Look Around You may be the best modern television show. (Just the first of the two series.)

Chernobyl is also very good.

i still love x-files if you dont mind a roughly 50% hit rate even the bad episodes are like endearing tho and it’s like what works for one person might not for another and vice versa—like there’s an episode where mulder umm… is chasing a serial killer obsessed with sculpting gargoyles or something and to me it’s like an excellent slice of tv production, amazing lighting and vibes… but to other people it might just be a random mid-season filler ep. whole show is like that. i think it doesnt get good til s2 also lol. but i dont care for the “mythology” episodes or w/e they were calling them which advance the main plot
