This patch replaces several original game data files to provide a complete fan translation to English of the Japanese game ‘Dungeon Master Nexus’ for Sega Saturn.
The only places where Japanese language is still present are:
- In the soundtracks of the 3 game videos, but English subtitles were added into the patched videos.
- On the screen to rename a reincarnated champion where you are can freely use Japanese or English characters.
The patched version is region locked ‘For USA and CANADA’ (the original game is region locked ‘For JAPAN’).
It also fixes these little bugs in the original game:
- ‘Sabre’ and ‘Samurai Sword’ item images (in inventory and on the floor), names and descriptions were swapped
- ‘Staff Of Manar’ and ‘Yew Staff’ item images (in inventory and on the floor) were swapped
Translation was performed using several online translation tools. Some texts were rephrased or adapted for a better translation or to fit under the limitations imposed by the game. The original Dungeon Master vocabulary was used wherever applicable (champion names, spell names, creature names, item names and actions, etc.).

I wanted to watch Mega Man 7’s intro again yesterday and while watching a playthrough, I remember how controversial some of the lines in the localization were. (Back in the day, the fandom was all going nuts over how Megaman shouts, “I’m more than a man!” or something before he threatens to shoot Wily at the end.)
Anyway, this made me wonder if there was a fan translation of the game and sure enough, I was not disappointed: Romhacking.net - Translations - Mega Man 7

i just played golden axe plus, a romhack of mega drive golden axe.
it looks almost arcade perfect, and adds in things like the magic system from golden axe 2, or from mdga’s beginner mode but in the full game. i approve~

this romhacking.net user has been making hacks fulfilling people’s requests in the forums. interestingly, the hacks don’t seem to get posted there, just on their github
lots of very cool stuff. one that caught my eye is a hack that unlocks everything in game & watch galleries 2 thru 4 - sorely needed hacks!

Is there an Addie’s Present patched rom somewhere? I tried cdromance, but they only have the rom in japanese. I would prefer if I did not have to patch it myself
EDIT: nevermind, I patched it. The instructions in the readme file were actually super easy
