actually, unironically, the web browser in the Xbox OS probably supports Google Docs and has keyboard support
they’re already almost meeting you halfway
hey.
HEY.
Who do they call nobody, I do have old Edge on my workplace PC, make that five people. And i’ll ride into the sunset with it until death/update policy of IT does part us for good. Guess that i will give up on both old Edge (on Win10) and my old FFox install (on my 1804LTS installation) i’ve clung onto for far too long in one big swoop.
So, let me ask then, what is the hottest shit Linux OS of the last decade?
I’ve realized that I’ve used Ubuntu longer than any Windows version to date, which is kinda weird, tbh… even dreaded WinXP was gone for years until i had to use it on my workplace laptop, and i barely dualbooted into it after i went to _buntu at the end of 2006.
So, mint never managed to catch on w/ me, Suse was a Computer-lab flirt during university, debian is a problem child ubuntu, Alpine linux is for Digital Kondo-enthusiasts, what is the next gen experience these days?
nvm, my brother has told me that the coold kids seem to recommend trying pop OS
and tbh, auto-tiling automatically boosts interest to three times more than before.
elementary OS… well, gotta try Mx linux before.
watch this space for the inevitable ‘guess what, went back to debian’ post in a month or two.
I’m gonna miss this thread title when it gets locked, some of my best work imo
there are surely more than enough EDGE jokes to ease the transition…
getting rid of the bleeding edge
edge computing (too obvious, duh)
Edge goes round the corner, is all fancy chrome now
edge.pl <=> PL.EDGE
Judge EDGE… outch… that hurts
that went south quickly,
right, I got it. The EDGE is dead.
DisplayPort report: CableMatters active repeater also did not work for VR headset. Sticking with passive cables — sheathed the two separate cables together and zip tied the ends so they’ll follow the DP cable’s coil.
I want @VastleCania to know as the only Oculus Quest owner I know that you can get high quality wireless desktop VR by using an AX200 wifi card set in hotspot mode with the host PC and the Virtual Desktop app. Thinking of u in Zuck’s dystopia.
If anyone wants Doolittle’s MicroCenter Proxy Service hmu before next Friday. I’ve done it for Toups and Cassie before.
I’m going to get so many Pi Zeroes.
hey
who’s going to fix the Discourse bugs that have started piling up in Edge for Windows Mobile 10 over the last 3 months?
I’m dying
here
Just a heads up, it looks like M1 processors do not play well with Docker. They’re “working on it”.
I am having to reset my router several times per week. The wifi drops constantly. I think this means I have to look for a new router. Any recommended resources?
offer $50 for this and take a drive to niagara
is there any way to create for folders in windows some kind of editable date value to sort them by. like in a folder full of isos or movies or whatnot, I could put in the actual release dates of the things and sort them like that
ntfs folder metadata is basically just name and permissions I think, only the video files themselves would have more complex metadata than that. you can definitely store data value in mkv metadata and dump it out with ffprobe
or something but you should check the properties tab of the file to see if it’s one of the values that gets checked by windows – explorer can probably sort on any of those though I’m not sure how
use file creation date? set it with BulkFileChanger
oh yeah that’s a good idea
I’ve been having issues with programs and the shell becoming unresponsive and not being able to ctrl+alt+del into the task manager or get Windows to register a shut down or reboot, as well as Photoshop in general now taking like, roughly 5 or so seconds to close anything, which I was chalking up to my D drive failing, but I also noticed recently that the internet cuts out (I’m not using wifi or anything, I’m connected directly to the router), as well, so I don’t know if that’s actually a drive problem or something worse. Does anyone have any idea what this issue might be? I don’t want to go through all of the shit involved with replacing the drive (ghosting it to an external drive, removing it, installing the new drive, etc) if there’s a deeper problem.
I’m hoping it’s not a motherboard problem, I don’t want to deal with replacing a motherboard.
it’s probably your wifi card / drivers, that can cause v weird interrupts especially if you’re using bluetooth (audio blocking can be almost as fucked up as I/O blocking)
I have an extremely overtaxed old mini PCIe 3x3 wifi + bluetooth 4.0 card and sometimes I’ll get full system lockups for a couple seconds when the bluetooth is about to dump because I connected 2 audio devices and 4 controllers to it
i suddenly find myself in the market for a new monitor, due to a number I just saw in an app I have on my phone
Any suggestions/sweet deals?
Ideally I want something in the 1440/144/<1ms range, g-sync would be cool but not necessarily a dealbreaker, under 300 if at all possible. Anyone know of anything like that, or am I asking too much?
