I am gonna get some too ty!
ugh i dunno after a year of owning a brompton i love it so much and yet a non-folding minivelo still calls to me
coincidentally, just had today a first go with my sister’s Brompton with front-wheel drive, and was quite surprised that a FWD bike would work, but indeed it does, even with hybrid boooost power mode 3 (i.e. MAXXXX).
Color me positively surprised!
mocked up the tank and seat after removing the fake gas tank. im trying to decide if i wanna commit to complete disassembly so i can repaint the frame
motor vehicles are evil and should not exist in the sense that they currently do.

Tour de France Unchained, Season 2 is out on Netflix, and since it is from the Drive2Survive-Cew, it will be pretty much more of the same:
If you liked season 1, go watch it then! ![]()
Can confirm, it indeed is more of the same, but worth it if you have passing interest in cute drama on top-class sports level.
Kinda looking forward to 2024 edizione now!
brompton g line announced!!! gravel folding bike!! 8 speed and disc brakes!!! will my minivelo addiction be cured??
Damn that’s really intriguing, and I’ve daydreamed of scoring a Montague secondhand for ages
This is a coool thread.
Tell me about your non-car transportation solutions in medium sized cities with snow. I am thinking about an e-bike or scooter.
check out Shifter on YouTube, he does a lot of videos about bike commuting in Calgary, stuff to think about for winter, etc
e-bike is a good option (altho batteries may be less effective when cold? idk) and apparently certain bikes have belt drives (instead of traditional bike chains) which reduces maintenance
I was looking at bike commuting but for me it’s a long term idea since I am very new to riding bikes in general (just learned last month), have a long commute, and the infrastructure isn’t yet ideal in my far suburb
yea a fair amount of people up here commute by bike in winter. sometimes with those big fat tires. i think many of them might actively want to get killed tho
I haven’t driven a car in almost 7 years since I moved to Japan.
gonna keep posting for all the years i couldn’t ride a bike
the radavist has been extremely effective in convincing me that bikes can look cool and futuristic. like how drop bars make randonneur bikes look like hammerhead sharks. or bikepacking bikes look like halo mongoose. or fatbikes that look like the mars rover
(reddit one
and then i was reading this manhwa wind breaker which is full of swagged out korean teenagers with super slick fixie track bikes
and the classic road bikes look really nice too
and probably riding is a very aspirational lifestyle (slowly pedal around dense asian city ordering fancy coffees)
i was gonna post probably riding!! for a minute i was going to do a bike channel in a similar style except i don’t talk and i play jungle music and drink coffee in every park in brooklyn but that’s so much time to film and edit and stuff omg
my current ride is a kyoot bikes itty bitty! i LOVE it, it’s tiny but it has drop bars but then it has a rack + wald basket on the back and it’s so dumb it’s great…i just need to get slightly thinner knobby tires for it and then it’s complete
