This thread is for people who aren't suckers who buy cars.

bike fit is important!

it’s true but every bike shop employee I’ve ever attempted to have a conversation with also likes bikes way too much for me to not want to leave immediately

the theoretically supportive and less gearheaded bike co op like three blocks from my house is run by vegan tankies who I hate even more than the guys who can list the entire shimano parts catalogue at me from memory

Sweet Jesus…

I wish there were a bike shop called Ass Hole Bikes but it has to be Ass Hole with two words like that

Are you still in Canada or is this a US trip? Apparently the Canadian popeyeses still don’t have the new chicken sandwich everyone is losing their minds about online right now. The Canadian Popeyes Twitter account is really a thing to behold at the moment. All their regular tweets are normal not even semi self aware ads and promotions and stuff, but then the mentions are just them replying with the same message to literally hundreds of people asking when they are going to have the new sandwich

Anyway this is not the right thread for this and I apologize in advance. I can’t change what’s in my heart

There was a really good Popeyes in the Hong Kong airport, but they closed it, and now 1/4th of the population is protesting.

I refuse to apply further context.

IT WAS SUCH A GOOD POPEYES.

For some reason, this feels like the right time and thread to say that Nestle recently acknowledged that there is slavery in the Thai fishing boats in its Fancy Feast supply chain, and when I told my GF this, she said, “Yeah, my mom is friends with the local madame, and her prostitutes told her that when guys are out at sea they’re told that if they get into a knife fight they’ll both be shot, and it will be reported as an accident.”

Feeling really bad about the cans of Fancy Feast I just bought to try to get my sick cat to eat :frowning:

He loved it, I’m so sad my cat is cancelled now :frowning:

Seriously though guess it’s time to find a new brand of cat junk food

You’re probably thinking of Church’s/Texas Chicken, which is the blandest fried chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life.

That’s right: I’m gas lighting you about chicken.

As an alternative you can click on my profile picture and press the funnel button and only see my posts.

naw it was absolutes a popeyes
in sfo though, maybe bay area popeyes is worse than national avg

The Popeyes that is walkable from my house still hasn’t gotten the sandwich yet either, but that is OK because I secretly never go there for chicken anyhow. It’s all about the red beans and biscuits.

Maybe… It’s been a while, but it should have a salt and pepper taste, kind of like if KFC were good. Or…like how I remember KFC being when I was a kid. It’s not really spicy, just salty and fried.

I’m in Penticton, I was very sad that one of the few remaining Arby’s on the way here closed but I am very pleased that one of the few Popeye’s in BC opened here to make up for it

Church’s in BC is actually a separate franchise from in the US like A&W and also like A&W it’s actually really good. It’s greasier than Popeye’s and the sides aren’t as good though.
