I KEPT ALL THE GOOD LINES YOU PRICK
for real though I did, I didn’t gabagool the whole thing, I even improved the already-good parts
you’re not missing anything from the original game playing mine though!!! like I literally only replaced dead space and I used the best of both localizations as a baseline
a boy made a change in the tactical hex
but what of the pure and the missing, they vexed
all care was taken when making the mod!
blame’a you self or blame’a the god
I just downloaded it and successfully loaded a save state from my old game so I think it is
what shader actually? i think i’m into this one
It is compatible, and it’s not all a joke!
I need a phone so I can just take pictures of my screen cause crt shader screenshots look like shit unless you look at them full screen
taking pictures of your screen is the best shader actually
i also thought the rom was all jokes hmmmmmm
i knew felix should have hired a community manager smh
i can’t get any scanlines to print at all
is this some vulkan bullshit
what did i fuck up
is this the original or felix mod?
the movename callouts are all original and one of the most consistently inspired parts of the ps1 script
I was really happy with the way chapter 3’s dialog turned out in my patch, hope you’re enjoying it
I meant the non-comedy changes! like I tightened the wiegraf and izlude and rafa stuff way the hell up!!!
oh
oh!!
I didn’t realize it was your first time
I’m so pleased
I’m really proud of the midgame villains’ pathos, probably the actual best work I did on this
also getting in on this, and yeah, the felix version.
I’ve now played chapter 1 to it’s end which is a first! and, uh, yeah, I’m glad I can experience this thing in a non-obnoxious way now. btw, a problem with the obnoxiousness may have been trying to get back in with war of the lions last time, which for some reason increased the level requirements for jobs, which is just… why?
and yeah, the wotl script is not quite as direct as the ps1, which is the first version I played way back at like, 13-14? a lot of the in battle dialogue just really hits, and it feels so bitter and tragic, which kinda is why I tried many times to get back in and see this through
this was actually a move to bring it back in line with the original JP playstation release, it’s just the NA original that had lowered requirements. I kind of understand reverting it, as unlocking jobs in the version I grew up with is really quick and in fact one of the most reliable early game strategies is pairing cheap skills from advanced jobs like Shiva and steal heart with the stat boosts of basic classes like black mage and knight, so it can make it feel a little effortless, but on the other hand, FFT is such an aggressively paced game in other respects that I don’t think it’s any more fun to have to slowly grind out lancer or whatever.
I did wind up using more of wotl’s localization as source material in my script than I expected to (mostly in situations where the original was super underwritten and I didn’t have any other strong ambitions for the scene), but very very little of it was reused unedited, that dialogue has such terrible cadence.
is there an updated Felix Fantasy Tactics link floating around?
