The Shooting 20XX Part II: Simple 1500 Series

I still can’t stop thinking this is the biggest, most elaborate april fool’s joke ever.

Day one purchase, naturally

it’s got gradius V vibes

real grandpa’s last mission energy

and the colour palette is keeping them out of mighty no 9 ugly 2.5D territory

During the stage event, Izanagi Games producer and CEO Shinsuke Umeda explained the game’s combination of genres. Enzai Shikkou Yuugi: Yuru Kill is separated into two parts, the first being an escape adventure game and the latter being a shoot ’em up. During the adventure parts, you will gather evidence and testimonies, and during the shoot ’em up parts, you must supply the correct answers from the evidence and testimonies you gathered during the conversation scenes that occur during boss battles.

Umeda also emphasized that G.rev, a notable developer of shoot ’em up games, is developing the shoot ’em up parts, so it will be a game that satisfies fans of the genre. There is also a mode where you play only the shoot ’em up parts, as well as difficulty options for players who are not good at shoot ’em up games, but want to enjoy the story.

this is a really good video for me because i always get hung up on what resolution my game demos should play at

Some direct-feed footage of the same R-Type Final 2 demo:

Looks like some of the enemies are corrupted R9s, which is a neat touch.

i like those red bullets that look like a boo ring from mario world

i wonder if they’re open like that cuz you’ll have to go inside and out of them to avoid other projectiles or if they just look cool cuz that seems like a tight spot

Sturmwind finally leaves the Dreamcast. Prepare for a moderate passable shooter that was kind of neat when @boojiboy7 and I played through it once.

Oh man we can maybe kinda play it again in Branson and go “huh that’s not the worst” again.

I have all of those. Dodonpachi Maximum is excellent. I wouldn’t recommend the others.

I tried this game again the other night, and I still can’t get through the second stage. I still like the presentation a lot, though.

I’ve also been playing DoDonPachi Resurection. It reminds me of Crimzon Clover: World Ignitiion. I’m glad it has a Novice mode.
