I mean what am I supposed to play on this thing? Only exclusives I’m aware of are that Team Ninja game and Stellar Blade. Until they too get PC ports eventually? I don’t really care that much about 3D character action games anyway.
I wonder if this is another instance of the corporate inertia of having started working on it meant no one wanted to stop and reconsider it’s release due to just the way game development has shaken out these past several years. I assumed that’s what happened with PSVR2, but then Sony just announced some cool PSVR2 games so maybe I’m wrong.
Idk if it makes sense to lump the PS5 Pro in with the PSVR2.
I think the Pro is doing exactly what Sony wants it to do. It is showing off that they’re at the cutting edge, highlights how good the original PS5 is, and keeps people in the PS ecosystem.
I was really hoping they’d make PS5 Pro look good horizontally. The fins in the middle just don’t do it for me. I will pop back again when they release covers for it. Maybe a black console would be cool.

Playing rise of the ronin on my new hand me down ps5. I like it so far, it’s kind of assassin’s creed-ish but with kind of sekiro-lite combat. it’s one of those ones where you’re constantly getting new random gear with slightly better numbers from everything, but you can glamour it to look like what you want. one thing that drives me a little nuts is there’s so much stuff in the game and there’s a little dot next to the tabs in the start menu everytime something new comes up which is always. I was a simple country assassin who failed to assassinate admiral perry now I’m roommates with ryoma sakamoto in the big city. gun skills are of course under the intellect stat, which you can raise by taking up photography. you get charm stat points by finding and petting cats. I think what would make the game really great though, just catapult it to being an all time classic, is if it had ps2 graphics.
me and commodore perry are friends now bonding over our mutual hatred of the british. you can find other players characters as wandering ronin npcs that you can challenge or help. if you max out the animal whisperer skill instead of stealth killing enemy dogs you pet them and they become your ally

I’d think I’d have more enthusiasm for overthrowing the current order but the anti-shogunate guys are an asshole master swordsman I keep running into every time I have a mission involving a white guy cause he’ll be trying to murder him, an aloof gambler guy who is secretly running a militia comprised of people of maybe not the highest moral fiber considering they almost murdered the wife of the asshole swordsman guy when she was looking for him, and their leader who every time I see him is tore out the fucking frame trying to fight me by mistake. I guess you use the tools you have. so far the pro shogunate side is a bunch of nerds for american technology, noble chevalier Jules Brunet and commodore perry who is just doing this to impress and outshine his brother, Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry. we are all just the product of our own neuroses.

something happened and streaming games on the ps5 is okay? like i tried out skyrim and destiny 2 - both games that are kinda nice to go in and mess around a bit but i don’t necessarily want to download and it’s like, okay?
I talk about streaming ps3 uhh…somewhere on the forum. It works well as long as it isn’t a game with a lot of blacj (RE6 was unplayable.) and something like Under Defeat was a complete joke. But an UE3 PS3 game was fine.
