OK, this thread convinced me to bang my head against Google once more to try and recall the game I asked if anyone knew about a while back and finally “flash game where you poop to fly spirit animal” got me there. Anyway, you go to space at the end of Icarus Proudbottom in: The Curse of the Chocolate Fountain.
Not a videogame but this bit of Akira is the quintessential “surprise! we’re in space”
