I’m fairly hype
I’m not into the jump or the shoot. Maybe it’ll click when actually playing it’s just a movie on the screen here who knows. I’ll buy and play it for sure but not to be overly cynical I am suddenly underwhelmed after being interested for half a decade or however long.
Also: River City: Rival Showdown out: Tuesday.

i completely forgot that a valkyrie-series game was released this year – saw some videos of it, looks really bad. even the art style looks horrid.
from this first glance the new one seems promising! if only because so far there are no giant swords and the characters’ faces are actually nice

They did put this out recently
penelo is a weird character but I’ve always liked how soft her facial features are and how it ages her. it reads as a peculiar kind of restraint but I think it’s just a result of adapting yoshida’s art style to the PS2 character models

vagrant story remains my favorite adaptation of yoshida designs, there’s a softness to his designs that i think gets spoiled a bit too much with high-fidelity. that said, ff12 character models remain some of my favorite in games of all time. like if i got a couple million dollars to make whatever i wanted, i’d probably do something like that. lush, hand-painted miniatures.

I’d be very happy if this popped up on PC, because I bought the phone version when it came out in English, but it has one of the worst “virtual d-pads” I’ve used in ages and it’s basically unplayable.
