Yeah, that seems like a bad trailer to me. Here, watch this violence w/o any context! Was the first Last of Us this graphic?
It was very upfront about how it takes place in a broken world full of broken people and no hope.
I think theyâre shooting for some kind of Walking Dead on AMC TV vibe.
But from this trailer you know thereâs at least one and maybe two new characters who donât read as totally awful people. And some kind of cult.
there is context, though. maybe not enough to earn having to suffer the brutality on display, sure.
content aside i tend to appreciate mood/tone-setting endeavors over sizzle reels. whatâs even a good trailer
what are the chances their attempts to navigate both the perpetrators and subjects of the violence being female will turn out well at all

the first last of us was also revealed with an idiotic and distasteful murder trailer, but people eventually forgot because they totally got to be a video game dad and that is revolutionary art

Whatever the privations of the moldpocalypse that lady has had no problems getting her protein and achieving/maintaining substantial levels of shred.

i understand people being wary of the trailer but, uuhhh, i really like it?
when i think about âtrue actionâ (ie. the fictional types that cause actual fright) i always think of the dry thumps of impacts of a person hurting another. like, say, in dogtooth when one of the ladies clobbers her own mouth in the bathroom and it makes a disgusting sound or in the cutscene by the end of the first level of dog days.
this trailer is very much like that!
itâs all repulsive, and when done sensibly, it can also be very powerful and emotional. i donât know, itâs weird. i liked the first the last of us a lot and i want to play this one.

long, long overdue. sc2 was released at just the right time to popularize esports and just the wrong time to quickly get washed over by free to play. blizzard has never been known for adapting quickly
speaking of: official wow âclassicâ server finally coming. will be interesting to see how they handle it.
