This has been happening and I guess is the current “project”. Working my way through primarily my PS+ games so I can cancel that subscription.
Also with the help of a Tampermonkey script and some CSV data filtering I have determined I have… 1,992 items in my Itch library, even after eliminating duplicates. Granted a lot of these are like, PDFs of TTRPG rules/homebrew and so don’t really count against The Backlog. But still, lol.
I have still not been spending much money on games the past few months as my action figure collection is my main irresponsible waste of money
Hey instead of crapping up someone else’s thread let me revive my own.
I’m steadily whittling down the PS+ backlog by mostly treating those games as demos. Just sampling stuff, maybe making a note of stuff I’ll revisit in the future somehow (probably not!)
If you right click and save the link then paste it into steamdb it’ll tell you what the mystery games once were!
EDIT: Also this is seemingly due to a Steam update that fixed/broke how wishlists worked, before the delisted games would just disappear from your list but screw up the numbering as to how many games were on said wishlist now they numbering is right but all those entries are back up as mystery boxes.
My Backlog has, unfortunately, grown. But I have managed to shuffle a bunch of stuff off my PS4 backlog and onto PC (thank you Epic store freebies) so I’m inching closer to closing the door on that platform.
I have officially paid for my final (for real this time) 3 months of PS+. If I have unplayed PS+ stuff after these three months, too bad, I’m declaring PS+ Bankruptcy. I think I should be done with the PS4 and can sell the console off by spring.
