The Gaming Goddess miffy becomes the first person to 3peat the Beautiful Game. Astounding. We haven’t seen anything like this since the Bulls dominated the NBA. Maybe. That’s kinda when I stopped paying attention to sport, I wouldn’t be surprised if all sorts of great feats have happened since then but none compare to this okay, we’re not going to argue about this tonight.
Anyway since miffy wins she gets to pick the next game and that game is the one that lead to the birth of this whole project: Defense of the Ancients 2. No, we haven’t done this before! That was the Inaugural Dota (It’s Good, Actually) Classic! This is the Beautiful Game. It’s very different! Even though we’re going to do the same exact formula, where two teams of 5 face off against each other and we see who wins.

Just letting you know if you’re on my team you’re probably going to win. I am very skilled (depending on how sober or energetic I am), and I have played this game for approximately 30,000 hours. I promise I’ll be sober, unless some of you goofs complain too much, and give me flashbacks to my last marriage. Then I will start hitting the bottle.
miffy will be doing commentary. This is like when Jordan retired to go play baseball I guess. She will let us know all about defending ancients, and last hitting, and denying, and ulting, and roshing, and sploshing, and creep skipping, and smoke ganks, and how many legs every champion has. She will do a fantastic job, I’m sure.
Members of the winning team can join our clan, [gorls] aka The Spice Girls. Losers can join too probably, I dunno how the system works, I’m pretty sure anyone can join if they just ask, but let’s just give you something to strive for okay? Plus this is way easier than that Cheetah Girls fan art I was supposed to draw for the winners of the last one. I bet I’ll deliver that before the year is out. I bet that’ll happen.

And we are only going to play 1 (one) official game. Though depending on interest we may also do a bot match, where a team of humans new to the game take on the computer. Also we are going to show a documentary video film and miffy is going to let us know which Dota players are the most problematic.
Don’t worry: none of them are Spice Girls. We’re all saints (like the ones in the bible, not the other girl pop band, they were not nearly as good as the Spice Girls).

I’ve played Heroes of the Storm for like 100 hours and League for maybe 30 hours, so I know vaguely how mobas work but I haven’t played Dota 2 at all, just FYI
