I don’t think everything Goldfrapp does is synthpop, exactly. But some of it definitely is, so close enough.

I randomly looked at an old SB thread with some music talk and discovered that it was starblood who first recommended Moenia to me. Not too surprising, I guess, but something I had forgotten. I’ve listened to them a lot since then.
This led me to wonder whether they were still making albums, and not only are they but their latest is excellent. I really like the way they work in traditional styles while remaining firmly in the synthpop genre.
Also, it looks like they have some live shows in the U.S. later this year.

How do you feel about the Danish synthpop band intricated? They only had three albums, with their first one being really hard to stream, but their other two are up in YouTube. I enjoy their mix of ambient with synthpop. Are there similar synthpop bands to them? I enjoy IDM, ambient techno, ambient trance, ambient dub, glitch, psybient, illbient, tribal ambient, etc. influences in my synthpop and in my futurepop.
