Standing up, with controllers in both hands to play Wii games was a good feeling. I think I did most of NMH on my feet.

I… Think I also played NMH standing.

Weird

best think about using the wiimote and nunchuck was flopping down on the couch with your arms at your side and just lazily and comfortably playing all relaxed

…which I guess you can do more or less with the joycons too, but i basically only ever use my joycons in handheld mode and use an 8bitdo when on tv. huh.

I think you’re all crazy

I’ve got the joycons, the Hori dpad joycon, a pro controller, the 8bitdo m30, the Gamecube adapter that works because Nintendo is still making Smash, two Pokken pads and I’m grabbing a Mayflash adapter so I can use a stick to play some Miku in a week

and I still need more

maybe that dedicated Miku arcade controller will come back in stock and I’ll also have 500 bucks ready

if you prefer nintendo style dpads and yours isn’t a lemon, I’d assume that’s a real good controller. I have a strong preference for sega dpads, but beyond that the entire point of the nintendo dpad is to make accidental diagonals more or less impossible, so it’s a little discouraging to have a premium pad maker fuck that part up. the downside of the sega dpad, beyond indistinct diagonals for people not used to them, is that they’re less durable. and lo and behold, companies have a long and colorful history of making sega style dpads that fucking break in 3 months.

That doesn’t work with Virtua Racing of all games.

4 new games for SNES/NESflix

  • Pop’n Twinbee
  • Smash Tennis
  • Shadow of the Ninja
  • Eliminator Boat Duel

The weirdest thing about this is that apparently the rights to Eliminator Boat Duel are now owned by (…wait for it…) Piko Interactive, which, um, opens some really weird doors.

New update for Witcher 3 on Switch is out. It adds cross saves for Steam and GOG, and it adds extra display settings. Haven’t tried this myself, but it sounds like setting sharpening to high and turning off anti-aliasing makes for a significantly less blurry time.

Oh shit, cross saves make this suddenly appealing because I’m not going to sit at my computer to play another bajillion hours of that game

or you could save the… $40? it costs to buy witcher on the switch and invest hundreds in a gamevice and wireless hardware

eh

eh

The gamevice not being able to deal with a screen protector is deal breaking for me, plus I stare at my fucking phone enough as it is

Also wol isn’t working right on my desktop and I’m pretty tired of fucking with obscure hardware settings at this point in my life

wireless wake on lan under windows is one of those things where I want to phone up the guy who made the driver and tell him he’s valid and his work matters because I know how many edge cases there are stopping it from working for most people
