There’s about half a second worth of lag between menus appearing and being able to interact with them and it’s driving me so nuts that I’d refund this if I could
Glad I didn’t buy the bundle!!
You can choose the Famicom soundtrack but it’s fucking loud and drowns out the VA even after adjusting individual volume levels. Also it is kinda annoying and does not suit the new art style (which I’m not a fan of but it’s not the worst; think a mystery game that doesn’t seem to have any black in its palette is a kinda bad idea!!)
Protagonist has amnesia and theres always a Remember option in the menus and so far whenever I click it he goes ”hmm…I kinda don’t remember anything”
These are my thoughts on the game i played for 20 minutes, that i bought cuz I had too many troubles trying to emulate Portopia and JB Harold, that I will continue to play even though this lag is driving me fucking nuts cuz I gotta justify the money I just spent fuuuuck
At some point I’m probably going to get irrationally angry about an anachronism in this remake of a 1988 game set in 1988
The cursor is way too slow and now I’m thinking this Portopia template with all the Looking and Asking and Remembering is not to my tastes, I played JB Harold for like 10 minutes the other night and it’s all about questioning folks and collecting evidence, I don’t think there are any pixel hunts, I think I want the hardcore detective shit…though maybe at some point Bachi Delight (my protagonist) will get hit on the head with a coconut and regain his memory and then this game will be awesome
