Zaha Hadid reference did not get unnoted itt.

Also, this thing’s going to be huge, going by the size of the disc drive and the two ports they’ve put slab-dash in the middle of the core(?)
Honestly, the PS5 screams for a HTPC case mod.

Is it easier if you don’t let the player have any control over the camera?

Here’s a demo from last year’s E3.

Honestly I like the way it’s still on a 2D plane but there’s multiple planes in front of each other and you move back and forth between them. Not many 2D games do the whole “moving into the background” thing much build less the whole game around being able to do it. I know there’s Xeodrifter and Mutant Mudds. It’s neat to see it in a full 3D game though.

the demon’s souls remake is making me really sad lol :frowning:

No, I think it’s more to do with the lack of linework and lighting control. Just watching concept art with a style get turned into a model and losing the mood the artist put in breaks my heart every time

it looks fine if you forget that it’s supposed to be one of the most gorgeously and meticulously lit, processed and color graded videogames ever made and instead is like dark souls 3 but with less art direction

After the bleak sadness of that terrible DSRemake PS5 reveal clip yeah I’ll take fine I’m ok with that

This is pulled from an emulated version at 4K on youtube but

I think there’s something to be said for the simplicity of this monster’s original design being more instantly recognizable than the remake’s. He’s visually easy to read and it’s not actually bad that I want to buy a plush toy of your video game’s monster.

My PS4 sees pretty exclusive use as an internet TV box these days and the use case for a console vs a gaming PC is dwindling quickly to nothing as far as I can see
