Code Veronica was the one that opened with Claire Matrix-kicking a bunch of paramilitary dudes in the dick and then getting strafed by a helicopter. 100% of people who think fondly of it haven’t played it since it was current, because it is chock full of terrible BS they’ve probably repressed (like the entire character of Steve Burnside, or the creepy incest kids).

RE Zero was the one that was on a train for a couple minutes.

I really love this RE engine, if they just put RE4 in it and rebalance it slightly to accommodate, I’d be down with that. make the castle better, if you dare.

the original RE4 was really pretty, though. it would probably lose something visually going to a more generic engine

chris redfield gets trounced by super wesker in code veronica that’s why he consumes nothing but steroids and protein shakes by re5. in re6 he drinks and gets so plum fucking plastered he forgets his entire life and his squad members who he has forgotten pretend to be regulars in the bar he drinks in and they all stand and salute him to jar his memory.

they should of just remade ff7 and re4 at the same time by combining the two and making a modern jrpg that has fixed camera angles where the camera zooms in to behind your shoulder for re4 shooting for the battle system

I just want fixed camera angles back in games. you can have a first person look around until you try to move the character mode if you want but that’s it

That pace would be really good for slow-cooldown spells and special attacks. Hard to do a party because your vision is so constricted but I love the idea of bundling in the environmental interactions. Maybe this is a Vagrant Story remake from a gunner’s perspective
