I thought that $300 Xbox 4 would be a real landmine primed to spoil the PS5’s launch, but the confusion and weirdness around that unit makes it seem like not a threat at all. $500 and $400 for a PS5 with essentially the same functionality seems like a more balanced choice to offer people than what Microsoft is doing imo.
I still don’t really understand the differences between the Xboxes SX and SS other than size. Maximum resomolutions?

SS has slightly less powerful hardware and is discless. I think max res is 1440p
It sounds like the Xbone X and the Xbox Series S is like the same thing, at least that’s how customers will probably feel. You don’t even get Xbox One X enhancements to old games with the new XS S.

Yeah this could be a day one purchase for me. God I went from “oh, that’ll be neat” to the first next gen game I have any actual hype about.
Even if he’s just overseeing the design he’s incredibly good at figuring out the strengths of the people he works with.

FFXVI was an interesting surprise if a bit of a weird announcement trailer.
I grow more and more concerned for Demon’s Souls since it seems like they’re leaning into slight audio tampering and weird ‘cinematic’ aspects.
I want Vergil DLC for my PS4 copy but I doubt Capcom will oblige
