That makes a lot of sense, the dream of painting the stacked highways in front of sunset skyscrapers is real good

Clarice.
my personal favorite Clarice thing is when she was a tiny 8-bit sprite cosplaying characters from NES Sunsoft games:
any way I want Rod Land vs City Connection
Fava-rite, Clarice…
it’s me
the guy who likes City Connection
Arcade version is better, though
I love this forum because almost no matter the game there is someone who will ride and/or die for it
i’ve never heard of City Connection before today but it is apparently a game where you drive a honda hatchback and fuck up police cars, it should probably be hailed as the Official Game of selectbutton
It’s basically if Pac-Man dove a car and the game played like Mappy or Flicky.
There’s a certain kind of multi-level platformer you’d see in the arcade before everyone started to copy the Joust model (Mario Bros., Bubble Bobble, Snow Bros., Tumblepop, etc.). The latter model tends to be about disabling then knocking away enemies. The earlier one is more about environmental completion—again the Pac-Man thing, which in turn is a holdover from Breakout. Instead of tiles you got dots, except now instead of dots you got segments of road or things to collect or doors to open or whatever. Usually with some kind of a power pellet equivalent that lets you turn the tide against the enemies that will tend to poke around the stage.
I think… like, I’m not a huge City Connection stan here, but they replaced the lady character in the US version with some… dude?

This needs to be a stock clarifier around here.
Sonic (the Hedgehog)
Yeah, okay. You mostly see the driver in between levels.

Arcade version:
BLUE LADY BETTER.

I played the hell out of a City Connection clone on the amiga called CarVup (made by core of all people). The devil that chases you when you take too long used to scare me
Cooking Mama Conspiracy Theory deepens with its (semi) release
This game is a lot of fun. Though I guess I expected it to be, based on the developer’s past work.
One thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to get those little hovering robots to “register” consistently. I mean the ones that are somewhat hidden, one per level. Sometimes when I shoot one it shows up on my record, and other times it does not.
Edit: I figured it out. You have to hit it repeatedly as soon as a you see it. If only one shot lands, it warps away.
Looking forward to this part 3
(this one came out like a week ago)
