Surprised it isn’t like this

that would definitely make it look less like one of those platinum hits rereleases or whatever

Please note that WayForward’s new title featured in Nintendo Treehouse Live is based on a third-party property.

It’s a Bakugan game.

lolol

people thought it was going to be a wario game haha

that’d probably be an improvement over the first few years of the ps3 at least

To the surprise of no one:

Wait what?

Bought it on Switch earlier but haven’t played yet, will probably post my impressions later maybe. The first one was abnormally good indeed.

straight from the wiki entry:

Curse of the Moon 2 introduces three new companions that can be swapped as in the first game: Dominique, who uses spears; Robert, who uses guns; and Hachi, a corgi who pilots a robot.

and Hachi, a corgi who pilots a robot.
and Hachi, a corgi who pilots a robot.
and Hachi, a corgi who pilots a robot.

ok, now I’m a little hyped

It sounds great.

I especially like the way they handle deaths. When you die you don’t lose a life or anything like it, just the character you were playing as become unselectable until the next stage so you basically play until you run out of characters to fall back on.

Was the first game like that? I got it when it came out but only played it a little bit.

it was yeah

the ninja turtles nes game is also like this. once one turt is lost they are shown as having been kidnapped by the foot clan. i think the game boy one has this too even though otherwise the games are totally unrelated

also the aliens metrovania on ds, but once one of your marines died, they permanently died

That mechanic was also in an aliens gameboy color game I believe. But this is from a fadded, half forgotten, almost two decade old memory of a nintendo power article.

Edit: My extremely specific memory seems to be accurate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliens:_Thanatos_Encounter
