…what.
i guess them making a star wars short is corny but just as corny as whatever commercials for banks or convience stores or whatever they make to keep the lights on
i’m glad we’re getting this out of the way as quickly as possible
ghibli ewoks movie make it happen
on reflection, they already made pompoko though so
all caught up on Andor, it’s absolutely electric, Stellan Skarsgard can’t not be Boris Shcherbina and it’s brilliant
EP 10 spoilers
Calm. Kindness, kinship. Love. I’ve given up all chance at inner peace, I’ve made my mind a sunless space. I share my dreams with ghosts. I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there’s only one conclusion: I’m damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they’ve set me on a path from which there is no escape. I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost, and by the time I looked down, there was no longer any ground beneath my feet.
What is… what is my sacrifice? I’m condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else’s future. I burn my life, to make a sunrise that I know I’ll never see. No, the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror, or an audience, or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice?
Everything!
muting anyone online who says luthen is a Jedi. these people have pudding for brains
It’s a little bit unfair because Tony Gilroy has always had genre cred from the Bourne series, but still funny to imagine traveling back in time to 2007 and telling people that a TV show from the director of Michael Clayton will be the most exciting Star War of the moment
prison break was corny, but I love shift leader man, and stellan skarsgard as unravelling IVE SACRAFICED EVERYTHING rebel shadow leader is simply too good
the guy who plays ulaf is the guy from the “i’m batman” scene

actually can’t wait to see the latest episode, can’t remember the last time a show got me like this. probably HBO chernobyl
it feels like must see TV
More widely remembered for Auf Weidersehen, Pet.
Alothough Trevor from Eastenders is even more notable:
What a fucking great Sergeant that guy is, just absolutely nailed it
it’s one of the great things about andor imo, in so many ways its such a departure from typical Star Wars conventions, but at the same time it really goes in hard for less frequently utilized aspects of the Star Wars Style. in this case, that’s just filling every scene absolutely to the brim with as many hard working bbc actors as you can find
oh my god Andor didn’t need to but this week’s effortlessly makes the list for sick maneuvers in ships
the rest is excellent as always but I was not expecting that
i love how each week has a different arrangement of the credits score
the amca podcast already being up because of some weird disney insider before the show comes out along with a seperate live reaction rules lol
the end credits tag was kinda corny but what a fantastic show they really pulled it off. absolutely should not be released one episode a week lol
