sega made a physical sega genesis cart to send out to ~influencers~ which i guess technically is currently the last “official” sega licensed genesis cartridge
i gotta know if this was built using SGDK
lol nice to see it get used on an official sega product
important lore fact: sonic shaves his chest
RCS continuing to be my 2nd favorite Sonic voice after Penny Parker
edit i realized i havent played a single Sonic (& friends) game with the current voice cast i just know all of them from Sonic Boom and the in-character Q&As
I came very close to buying Sonic Origins Plus on Switch just now but then I remembered what they did to the music in Ice Cap Zone.
I keep almost buying it for another way to play Sonic CD. I do not need another way to play Sonic CD.
But I think you can mix and match the soundtrack.
Might be worth it to buy it on Steam and mod it?
Which reminds me, I need to get Sonic Superstars on Steam to mod it to change the bad music so I can finally palate it.
I’ve read that you can do that, but I have Sonic Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, and Sonic AIR on my PC already. If I was the president of SEGA I’d make them do a $3.99 DLC for the tracks and cut the Jetzonz or whoever in on it.
The Shadow of Water
im still weirded out that these movies started with a shitty family comedy featuring Sonic and now the 3rd ones straight adapting plot elements from a Dreamcast game
I’m gonna be in Sarasota for holidays when that comes out… Looks like I’ll be seeing it at the CineBistro with a lot of cocktails.
was a little worried about the ark rising out of the thames but we’ve got the moon laser sequence after all
please pls pls pls have a giza pyramid slide open to reveal a space shuttle launch
probably no biolizard but i would cackle with glee if that happened
definitely wont be me yelling MY SUPER LASER PISS!!! at the theater screen during that bit no ma’am
definitely will be me singing drunkenly along to “Live and Learn” though
somehow i can’t believe that this movie is basically the first one based on a dreamcast game in 2024. i keep trying to think of another one but the best i can do is like “a movie that had elements of a game that was also ported to dreamcast i guess”
Curious what you were thinking of. Illbleed? Blue Stinger? Headhunter? (I’ve never played Headhunter)
more mainstream stuff than that: franchises like street fighter, dead or alive, resident evil, tomb raider etc
