I learned this weekend that Sonic Mania – the Steam version anyway – is always slightly blurry in fullscreen because of how it’s upscaling from its base 424x240 resolution; the only way to get it not blurry is to run it windowed; the UI only lets you go up to 3x base resolution windowed, but you can put custom values in the Settings.ini file in the install directory–like 4x fits on a 1080p screen so for that you set

winHeight=960

Sonic Mania is truly a blessing

201.9 MB to 20 MB, not bad. It won’t get me to go through reinstalling MSYS2 (which will probably take up far more than 200 MB, especially once you start compiling stuff–but you would uninstall it afterwards of course) to do the conversion, but hey.

I just remembered but if y’all have a Round 1 near you, I wish to inform you that their karaoke system now has “Open Your Heart” along with the ever popular j-karaoke picks “Escape from the City” and “Live and Learn.” They also have the Sonic Heroes’ theme and other Sonic songs I forgot.
Sonic Expo in Atlanta moved next door to a Round 1 so I learned this last week lol
