im inspired by the post I made as Armorman on Tigsource that was basically me trolling and yawning about The Newest, Hottest Dark Souls Inspired Metroidvania INdie game and the incredibly negative response the post got

so really, maybe it should fall to the inheritors of the IC legacy to come up with a more useful name than basing all of videogames language off of how things relate only to previous videogames superficially

The vania I think is from the symphony of the night RPG elements, but also seems inherently focused on the inclusion of minor elements like warp rooms and lock and key navigation
