Some of the combos, including the ones shared by SNK’s own twitter page, make me want to cry
When will SNK wise up and rerelease XI. A straight port of the PS2 ver would be good, but it would be great for a UM, with touched up UI and adding some of the missing characters. People don’t know how dang good XI is.

Visually striking with some deep cut roster picks. I have the PS2 version in a box somewhere but maybe only played it a couple times 
why is it so hard for publishers to make this stuff available
strange that the other big atomiswave game (ngbc) received an actual high effort 360 port and xi has received nothing since the ps2 release
Probably an indication of how poorly it sold? Found this even (it’s based on the number of high score entries so probably not entirely accurate but gives a rough indication):
SNK’s Neo Geo Battle Coliseum , on the other hand, didn’t have the same luck. Only 9,225 people seem to be on the list at the moment; however this may be due to only being based on the story mode, and may require you to complete it. Either way, it has not appeared in the Top 20 lists since its first week, so it likely hasn’t done as well as expected.
Both coming out in the same month yet outsold fivefold by Earthworm Jim…

ouch. they converted it to 16:9, created new win screen art for everyone and i’ve even heard that the netcode is shockingly good. maybe a steam/egs release can redeem it. ngbc still has some decent pockets of players in japan, or at least did pre-covid.
I have shrink wrapped copies of both kofxi and ngbc, because I am stupid. don’t even have anything to hook a ps2 up to anymore
NGBC is good. I don’t like the faux-survival structure of the arcade mode, but the roster is great and I love the shoutouts to games beyond the KOF usual. Last Resort, Cool Cool Toon, etc. The backgrounds are some of the best among the Atomiswave/Naomi style. Ryo should always have his aged Buriki One design from now on.

I guess without an existing XI XLBA port to work on, SNK is holding off due to the work involved to do a solid port.
I would also really like a XIII port to modern consoles, if only because the PS3/360 versions are expensive now and I’m now a sucker for these new AES snapbox releases, like for the new Samurai Shodown. I would buy the XIV Ultimate physical, if I could get past that game’s artstyle.
I’m really hoping the new character to be revealed in an hour is the third member to Iori’s team along with Joe. I feel like the huge team change ups will bring the potential for new relationships and plotlines, something I think the series could really benefit from after the messy Tales of Ash and the fairly nothing KOF14. I also find it to be more exciting thinking up reasons for team compositions as they get revealed. If they’ve just reverted to showing random characters in random orders, then we’ll just go back to assuming everyone is teamed up in their standard well-worn formations. That’s just not nearly as interesting, and considering how SNK have not talked about game features at all yet there really isn’t a whole lot to talk about other than the small guesses at gameplay changes people can make out from the trailers (which, while seem fine, are not major game changers so far).

Chizuru back on Team Sacred Treasures. Nice to see the gang back together.
She also has her wacky super speed run animation in that one move.
Oh, well: for a week, we dreamed. I’m always happy to see Chizuru around, and she looks possibly the best she’s ever been here, but I’m sad to see that the potential madness of an Iori / Joe team-up will not be realized.
