Yeah, SNK, SHOW SOME GUTS!!
These are all the SNK games I knew until KoF’98 came out on the Dreamcast. I was vaguely aware of the very-early Neo-Geo (Magician Lord, Fatal Fury, etc.), but never saw it in person.
Was looking for 2D games in Dreams when
Hiroaki’s take on a 49-year-old Terry Bogard
Hiroaki-san confirmed that the Main illustrator for The Rumble Fish, Yukinari, is the one responsible for the SUPER nice portraits in KOF 2000!
It’s nuts how many simple details of credit remain obscure for how many decades.
It’s also nuts that 2000 was twenty fucking years ago.
Special Iori flavored goods including a milk carton and a facial mask.
Now we all can be Miss X for a day.
EDIT: Oh, it literally is the Miss X mask…
That has to be the best name ever.
i like that three of the wrestlers in that image are either retired or only make special appearances. and the other one is standing way back in the distance
You know how there are those twitter artists who have dedicated their entire artistic life to drawing fanart of a single character? I found the one person who has never given up the flame for May Lee.
huge opportunity to bring wrestlemania the arcade game style move sets as ultra rare variants for kof all stars. might actually spend thousands of dollars on gatcha if there’s a possibility of unlocking a version of brock lesnar that F5s sharks as a projectile attack and grows moose antlers for his combo ender
A new KOF webtoon (Korean web comic) has started up, called The King of Fighters: Letter of R.
I guess it’s going to be one of those adaptations that constantly remind you it’s based on a video game.
This shot of Mature stepping out of a car is somehow one of the most scary images I’ve ever seen come out of this franchise. Looks like one of those horror game monsters that are just shapely legs attached to a mundane object.
The Neo Geo Land Youtube account uploaded KoF XI’s AST yesterday, and I’ve realized that there is quite a bit of that game’s music I’d never heard or do not remember at all. Some notable notables:
(Where’s the PS2-version Switch port, SNK?)
“Diet!” samples a Beatles song. “I Saw Her Standing There,” yes?
It seems so! Well spotted!
