alright I liked this demo a lot more than the ninja gaiden one. wish it wasnât a metroidvanialite (kill me for typing that), but is what it is, no one is ever gonna make a 2d game without backtracking and skill unlocks ever again. you can play each stage in an âarcadeâ mode after you beat it, but it doesnât seem to change how it plays outside of disabling fast travel. itâs just the only way to unlock score, and this is definitely a score attack game. more of a combat game than an action platformer Iâd say.

I like the part where you press the buttons and the enemies are defeated. I donât like how the flashing splashy VFX conceals the enemy tells when youâre mashing the âdefeat enemiesâ buttons and standing close enough to them to hit with your katana. counting in my head the time between jumps/dodges
