I still think the aesthetic of the NGP/NGPC fighting games are perfect. Just the ideal chibi style. Ton of expression in those little guys.

i’m glad there’s a few indie games that have taken up that style, definitely.
also, i didn’t take any screenshots of it, but some of the dialogue scenes in magical drop have characters’ actions described via text in parentheses, like they’re all kids participating in some online rp
