even as a huge raven apologist,
its a bad sequel that starts with a forced stealth level and for every kinda cool level like hong kong there’s two Colombias where you get fucked by hitscan enemies shooting you through tall grass you can’t see through. Its very telling people like sof1 in general but only talk about how this 1 has cool gore
however I think raven could’ve kept making bangers if the industry didn’t shift. sof2 is clearly a reaction to Realism becoming popular in games. All ravens best games have some goofy or out there ideas. they tried to course correct with singularity ,probably the most interesting raven joint from modern times, but that game got hacked apart in development. I hope you like crushing and uncrushing boxes with a time machine because we didn’t have time to implement real puzzles

True, I do distinctly remember having a “what am I even doing with my life” moment of introspection three-quarters of the way through SoF (can’t remember if it was 1 or 2)
Then I kept peeking around every corner and headshotting unaware guards, while the other guard next to them didn’t react at all. Good stuff
