the level up system in tetris plus is interesting. you can see a meter at either side of the well. when it gets to the top, you level up and it goes back to zero. it’s always slowly creeping upwards, and get a boost every time you clear some lines.
and here’s the score i got playing to take this screenshot (i was originally playing the gbc versino on my 3ds because the actual 3ds tetris games are soulless garbage, but i thought the arcade version would make for nicer screenshots.)

fatal fury has such a strong feel of late 80s/early 90s hong kong action movies that i always have it in my head that south town is an island city somewhere in south east asia, rather than some peninsula sticking out of the us somewhere
also it really sucks that something as important as snk lore doesn’t seem to have a wiki that isn’t hosted by fandom dot com
