Now you got my attention 
no i’d never heard of it! i love that stupid tin-man lookin dude. the main mech’s stanced arms are both really funny and extremely effective silhouette design. i think i like it. the open-mouthed dog (bird?) helmet is really good too.
i’ve also never heard of escaflowne; that’s some serious proto-2000s weird character faces they got in there.

been watching armor hunter mellowlink and this is 100% what i need… every episode packs a bunch of killing and violence and combat in… the evil mech pilots do something horrible like shoot their own men in the back or blow away an entire stadium section and then mellowlink solos them on foot… every episode is named after the terrain they fight on, it’s incredibly videogamey sorry i mean ludic. also he’s killing his way up his former chain of command. great drawings and 2D mechanical animations and mellowlink is a cutey. highest recommendation so far…

finished mellowlink. i like that it ends as like, the next major plot arc is beginning and the tenuous peace that the show takes place in is being actively sabotaged. cool way to go out.
