yoooooooooooooooooooooo
just in time for summer
15 years ago I made a cover of Seven Nation Army in Korg DS-10 and then never did anything else with it again.
context for “test recordings 2025” above: i was testing out a few different ways of recording keyboard+voice at home and improvised some things i ended up liking a lot.
if anyone wants to iterate on these or mangle the audio or chop them up or overdub something else on them or sample them and make something wholly new out of it or whatever the fuck, do so. no restrictions whatsoever, and i would try and take whatever you share back and fuck with it more and so on.
rebirth is fun lol highly recommended. hope this link works i used an incredibly dumb method
i learned a lot of shit really quickly with rebirth back in the day
ok! i’m going to post about a show that i’m helping to put on that is happening ONE WEEK from now in ridgewood, brooklyn
we’re putting on alex.dl and beng.r’s AV set RITE OF PASSAGE II at stone circle theatre in ridgewood! i’ve been a fan of rite of passage ever since i saw it for the first time and have been trying to figure out ways to get them out to nyc since i moved here and it’s finally happening! rite of passage is alex.dl’s ambient trance music combined with beng.r’s ephemeral visuals and it is an incredible experience
we’d really love to see y’all out there if you can make it! ticket link + video below:
alright, i’ve been telling myself i need to get outside of my bubble of usual places/things i go to lately so i will try and come to this. i like churches as venues so this seems like a good vibe. this venue coincidentally is like a block away from that bookstore event i helped host that you were at
This is something I did for a puppet theater show I worked on in 2016. I’ve been meaning to get it released for a long time now. For a while I thought high quality versions were lost in a hard drive crash so that was one factor among many. I randomly found the uncompressed mixes while looking for something else late last year and mastered it with my friend. My mom listened to one of the tracks earlier today and she told me it made her feel happy. I hope it can do the same for a few others.
i love this a lot
i love where this gets to at about song row 0D
just recently i’ve finally started to put my stuff online in some kind of organized way
the big leap for me is a new bandcamp account, where you can buy things for what i hope is a modest amount or stream them forever for free
on that note, i’ve also tidied and maxed-out my old soundcloud
https://soundcloud.com/azurelore/albums
this happened first, and it’s only when i hit the upload limit that i could have sworn didn’t use to be there, that i took a step back to hum and haw about whether i felt okay about asking money for things
and: if it’s mostly optional, my brain seems to handle that
Skipping around, “befiddled” from volume three slaps
thank you

go to timestamp 34:17 if you just want to hear the spooky experimental sequence
original release: January 1, 2008; the first full-length record of any description i made that felt “complete”
i heard this for the first time in a few years today and damn. it is pretty good. this is the “share and talk about your music” thread so i’ll allow that i personally really like my own music and i’m always sad that effectively no one likes it nearly as much as i do (edit: to be fair most people just haven’t heard most of it, which of course. i’m not sure i’ve heard all of it, and i made it!)
the title is an easter egg (tubed is “debut” backward) and also a description of the feeling i was going for, some kind of claustrophobic entrancement
fyi you can get all the meauxdal releases from here without having to futz with bandcamp and putting in $0 in the PWYW dialog:
a lot of them have “this is free, do not pay for this” in the description on bandcamp. it’s not there because i think they are bad records or anything like that. it’s just non-commercial. free music to download and listen to
