I love that input indicator thing on the bottom of the screen
I don’t often doodle, but when I do one of my favorite things to do is make what I call Ghost Comics. It’s a series of intentionally low effort inconsistent nonsense about ghosts. Most people I’ve shared them with find them funny for some reason. This is a selection of a few.
hellyeah
makes me think of mother 3
There’s more too. I make them really inconsistently, but I started posting them on a bluesky account. @ghostcomics.bsky.social on Bluesky
good one
Sometimes my good taste leaks into my art
I’ve only managed about 8 hours of drawing this year and about half an hour of it was spent plagiarizing a Nancy panel so I could have my own custom Magic the Gathering proxy
You can say so many negative things about that game but it’s also incredibly easy to just print out cards and do whatever you want so I think that mostly cancels out a lot of its scumminess. Also tracing shit rocks if you admit it and you better believe I traced this thing. It ain’t easy! It takes some skill! You should rip off your own Sluggo or Nancy of choice and post it. That would make me so happy. Thank you.
Not this year. Last year. It’s 2026 now. Shit.
well it worked!
as luck would have it I had a page of my webcomic penciled up before I burned out, so I am going back to finish it and read the last chapter to catch myself up on my comic. Sometimes I can cook. But I must admit I wish I could draw a lot better. With some of the pages I am a bit frustrated by my drawing ability because I think I can do better, and I feel like the action doesn’t translate as well when the poses are sloppy. When I slow down it’s generally better. but right when I burned out I had like a few hours on Sunday to do the page, and I could generally do it, but it looked rough. These don’t though!
I like this sequence a lot even if the sizes aren’t consistent with later pages lol
actually making comics is so hard though! taking time to draw everything is a bit excruciating.
my game’s done in terms of level design & mechanics etc but i’ve been doing another pass for more visual variety, and i’m happy with my results so far. palette swapping goes a long way, and i’m trying to work in a few more background elements with my admittedly simple & unpracticed art style
consider this a sketch more than anything. The underlying model I made is hopelessly crude and I was mostly interested in figuring out a good way to procedurally greeble. I think this will work out pretty well once I actually make something worth greebling!
Haven’t touched blender since v4.3 and didn’t bother looking anything up any of the dozen or so times I forgot how to do something, so I’m hopelessly rusty at this point but hopefully this will motivate me to not abandon yet another hobby
I want to make actually good renders of all the ships in traveller, so I’m considering this just practice
