adding Shoot Penguins. the below is the only video i could find of it but itâs on one of those newer widely available multikarts with names like Retro Game Deluxe. i believe this may be the âultimate videogameâ as itâs both totally amoral, aesthetically incoherent, banal to play and strangely compelling at the same time - it is maybe the #1 game i would ever hand to someone who was curious about the fundamental appeal of this format. an underrated part of it is that the assault rifle you use to shoot the penguins is the same one that the same game kart uses for a bunch of military games.

I couldnât decide on an N64 AKI wrestling game, so I omitted all of them.
Virtual Pro 2 is probably the correct answer but Iâve played that as a proper four player party game once. Revenge is colorful, has that ref sprite, and has that Japanese segment to the roster as someone mentioned. Wrestlemania 2000 has the create a wrestler mode though. Somehow I didnât know No Mercy existed until a couple years ago. I think Iâll just remain uncommitted.

i admit i kind of cowardly picked No Mercy since itâs the latest one and the one Everyone Says is best even though i spent a fraction of the time with it compared to the two WCW or Mania 2000 games. i was more into wrestling for the WCW ones but the 2000 CAW letting me see Japanese wrestling moves for the first time certainly gives it an edge.

Iâve retroactively adjusted my list to favour certain nominations so I think anythingâs fair game.
I picked 2000 but honestly Iâm amenable to any of the WCW ones as well, they both have their charms. Revenge has the âWHUTâ trucker intro after all. Def agree we should pile behind one though and try to get it repped!

This is really good and I think it describes the uh, friction/weight of movement of the first Dead Rising that was missing in all the later ones for me.
Would suggest anyone nominating Shiren the Wanderer/any Fushigi no Dungeon games look at Katanakami if you havenât yet.

I played no mercy the least and not til later and itâs great but it never seemed that much better than 2000 or revenge to me either. I agree itâd be a good select button move to just ignore no mercy. but between the two remaining why settle for one, did we not flip back and forth between wwf and wcw channels back when, why should now be any different?
I donât see why we canât take this as far as it can go. no reason the top 3 sb games canât be 3) wrestlemania 2000 2) wcw vs nwo revenge 1) ff13, which I feel is going to be an unstoppable force weâll be helpless to do anything about.
If it came down between the two though I think I would favor revenge because wrestling at the time was better when that game was made. by the time of wrestlemania 2000 wcw was awful so wwf didnât have to try as hard. these games might be separate from their television programs but must still bear their burdens

Wrestlemania 2000 is better than No Mercy cuz:
No Mercyâs framerate went to shit in 4 player. Or maybe it was just the ladder matches. But it felt worse overall, thatâs what I remember!!
No Mercy had some bad save wipe bug and I never got a replacement cartridge (did they even fix it?)
No Mercy had a much better roster, which actually sucked cuz it made the Royal Rumble way worse. You were much more likely to have a final 4 featuring, like, Terri Runnels, Pat Patterson, Paul Bearer, and Viscera in Wrestlemania 2000.

WCW was much better than WWF so letâs all just nominate whichever WCW game was coolest. Do they all have La Parka? Letâs vote for La Parka.
