EMILIO ESTEVEZ IS MENACED BY CARS NIGHT
Before Emilio Estevez was coaching semi-fictional hockey teams straight into our hearts, he faced a much larger danger than the Hawks: Constant threat by automotive misadventure.
Repo Man
Estevez plays the titular Repo Man on a quest to claim the bounty on repossessing a car with a nuclear weapon under the seat, and a secret in the trunk that will change the world as we know it. This film is an indie punk rock classic filled with surreal imagery, a great soundtrack, and sharp humor.
This is honestly one of my favorite movies ever because thereโs nothing else out there like it, despite the half a dozen films named is such a way to make you think are sequels.
Find out what the hype is about, in Repo Man!
Rated E for EmiliNo!: there are a few scenes of some pretty serious physical sexual harassment that the films plays as goofy that have aged pretty badly, plus some moderate violence.
Maximum Overdrive
Question:What happens when Steven king is literally so coked out of his mind that he decides to prove heโs a better horror director than Stanley Kubrick?
Answer: A comet causes all cars on earth to attack all humans on earth.
Really, what more is there to say?
Rated GSK for General Steven King advisory: I havenโt seen this all the way through, so this is an estimate: Thereโs at least mild sexual harassment (although less than Repo Man), but for the most part thereโs just a shit ton of gory car based carnage.
Can Emilio Estevez survive all the automotive mayhem? Join us at Wednesday, September 12th 6pst/9est to find out!
