PRO TIP: operate your trains for maximum profit
you can just click around and ask question/work stuff out in the game. you can also pause the game for 3 days while you read everything and watch videos and roll back moves to account for your new understandings

I don’t anticipate we will finish the current game this week
We have been playing 1889 since it’s a good learning game and doesn’t have as many embellishments as other 1830 derivatives. I’d like to play 1830 once we get up to speed.
If I’d be the one holding you back, feel free to choose the more complex one and I’ll figure it out.
I’d recommend a slow start, 1830 is much harder & unforgiving (and longer) than 1889. if you’re unwise the first tile lay of NYNH can make it unplayable for the rest of the game. most other companies have (or are) delicious boobytraps
plus I want to try floating TR in 1889 and running a wild route
