Fantastic mixtape of this kind of stuff, by a record store owner in Osaka. Some 90’s songs in there, but it’s the right vibe.

The first song on there is my favorite, and you’ve just got to admire the cover of the record it’s from:

The haircut! The sneer! The apple! The Paisley! Whatever you’d think this record would sound like from that image, you’d be wrong.

Hitomi Ishikawa was giving a concert at the mall that we caught the last song for.

There were a lot of grungy 50 year old men going “I can’t believe it.”

I think that this is maybe the best recording of Windy Lady, I think it’s the one on It’s a Poppin Time. Sounds so good, specially the e.piano, incredible. Ryuichi is playing on Love Space, before, Tatsuro gives him a shout out and has a fun solo, but it doesn’t seem like him playing on Windy…I guess it is though it says so on the Poppin Time credits. The Professor does it again.
