i thought the game was very easy until one point in the second dungeon where even though i’d started the battle with an ambush, a demon 10 levels higher got the first turn and wiped me

yeah, was wondering this. started a 2nd-day infiltration and don’t feel like i’m…very close to the finish 0__0;;
The game tells you about the thief vision revealing enemy strength too early when there are no red guys wandering around and you kinda forget about it
At least I did
90 minutes in and I might hate all the characters

Chie was my fav in P4 too
Yosuke started at like -100 for me and never got better. Ryuji started at 0 and I’ve actually been warming up to him

Not crazy about Igor’s new voice direction. That’s what happens when the VA dies i guess!
The third Palace was a bit less interesting than the first two, though dungeon design remained fresh. Watch out for damn ambushes. I baaaaarely scraped by some immediate party wipes.
Wanted to try original J-dub, but seems it can only be selected at New Game?

I thought the same thing and I think I’m going to try to ask some of the actors what’s going on next time I run into one of them. I’ve worked with Max a bunch and I know he’s not that sibilant! It’s either a strange mic choice or EQ in post, or both.
It is noticable in every Atlus game!
I think I did that then loaded my game, still English dub. Didn’t see it listed in the normal menu Options/Config afterwards either.
Ah just looked it up, you gotta press triangle at the file select screen.
It was so bad I thought it was actually a problem with my speakers at first

I really, really like that they brought demon negotiation/recruitment to the series.
So far though the story is pretty D:
It’s funny, in past personas I couldn’t wait to beat the dungeons so I could enjoy the soap opera story but in this game it’s completely the opposite.
