Oh yeah, the information is very upfront about that, which is great. I think it’s just first-MMO effect after many years of playing single player games where I tend to do every side quest possible before following the critical path, which minimises intentional grinding time.

only grinding i’ve done is against the rookie metal slimes to get all the passives from the jobs i’m not actually engaging with, and there basically aren’t any more of those until i get curious about m-rank jobs
if i want to go from priest to hermit, i’m going to need to explore ranger a lot
a hermit is just a priest that spends a lot of time outdoors

Same, the only grinding I’ve done is to drop what I’m doing and do metal slime time fighting if I have any vocations that aren’t level 37 yet (the soonest any job gets 100 skill points, which I then just drop into character passives).

How long would you say you’ve spent in it so far? I’m nearing 100 hours and I think the end of version 1 is in sight. Then again, I’m getting all the Key Emblems + doing a bunch of vocation stuff and sidestories which has added a ton to that.
