Abystro was right there…
It is hard to tell via screenshot but if you look along the perimeter the whole playing field is laid upon a 12x12 grid and in order to move or attack you have to type that followed by the exact grid square intended so in the above you’d have to type attack d2 to attack, or possibly type to move there first then attack. Also when you move the grid tends to move as well. I love me a good creative if likely bad idea one builds a whole game around.
