My guess is that they were learning 3D art as they went, and render-time was costly enough that they couldnāt just go back and redo a scene on whim.
tho tbh you should probably define what you mean by ātheā FF7 aesthetic if you want a good answer

It does seem like a linear development on the techno-fantasy thing they had been developing since 4, this time with the addition of cyberpunk. Probably a lot of Ghost in the Shell, Alitaā¦
But I think what anothergod is looking for is probably postmortems or interviews where the devs address their inspirations directly.

This is my suspicion.
Thereās just so many weird things that incoherency. The metal playgrounds, the skyscrapers, the external world, etc. Itās all justā¦ so seemingly inconsistent.

dealing with an archive that has many, many duplicated images, is there a smart way (on windows 
) to, say, delete every file whose name ends in a ā(1)ā

You can use PowerRename from PowerTools to rename all the files that contain a string, and then sort alphabetically

is DanDaDan tolerable exclusive or terrible?
I played some RTS games back in the day but never really got into themā¦ felt too shallow and repetitive with just harvesting resources and storming the other bases as fast as possible (I realise itās likely much more tactical online, but Iām only interested in single player). What are some good ones to play for someone keen on giving them another try? New and old.

Do you like the idea of building a little town, and then telling a bunch of dudes to run around? If not, then I donāt think RTS are for you.
If so, then Iād say start by ignoring offense. Just get used to the game by building up a bunch of guys and defending your base from attacks. Once you get efficient enough at that youāll have enough time to try out expansion to other resource nodes/searching for and attacking the AIās bases.

I have a 20" x 30" foam core poster that I use for a protest, but recently, the property owners started towing vehicles belonging to protestors. One of the easier solutions to this would be to hide the sign until Iām at the site. But, the foam core poster board is big. Hard to hide in transit. It is not possible to park outside of the owned property because hellworld etc
Anyone ever see a way to, say, divide the board into halves or fourths and somehow reassemble it to full size?
