I’ve been playing the Eng-patched Saturn game and so much of the pleasure is in the specific aesthetic achievements I’d absolutely recommend that over the PSX build or the port, which is the PSX version with textures being filtered (blargh).
Just now became conscious that games where a bow is a/the main weapon is one of my favorite things and I’ll automatically like any game where the bow has a satisfying thwack. What games prominently feature bows?
(The games inspiring my question are Horizon Zero Dawn, Momodora RutM, Tomb Raider 2013, and portions of Half-Life and TLoU)
I remember an early N64 preview in Nintendo Power claiming that the analog stick was going to be used to draw the bow in Turok. Did anything ever actually use that approach?
i ordered a copy of armoured core for answer and received a copy of ac4. before i return it what’s the difference? is it a directors cut/ upgraded version thing or are they completely diff games? is 4 worth playing in its own right?
the only n64 game i know of that did something like this is the jp-only (recently fan-translated!) golf game eiko no st andrews. you gotta pull back on the stick and let go to swing
