Why do people keep saying the ‘leaked’ PS5 design looks good? Every time I see a news article about it on any site, it’s like “this AMAZING design”, “just looks so incredibly cool”, etc

It looks like a friggin jaz drive

nah a jaz drive would be way cooler

it looks like a much uglier take on a pcengine coregrafx

Isn’t it just the dev kit that leaked?

What’s an affordable way to get a decent quality rip of a VHS to my HDD and/or input video from it to capture via OBS?

I’ve got some 14 years old Japanese TV which needs to see the light of day.

I thought that was just the devkit, but if it’s not, it looks like colossal shit. The OG PSX and PS2s were pretty rad-looking, not sure who they have doing their hardware design these days, but Sony consoles post-2 definitely don’t have that cool aesthetic anymore.

PS3 looked like a football stadium. It was great.

A few years ago I used this kind of device to rip a bunch of VHS tapes to my laptop: https://www.amazon.com/REDGO-Video-Capture-Converter-Adapter/dp/B01E5ITE2W/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=vhs+to+usb&qid=1571591535&sr=8-4

Not sure exactly which one I bought, but it was cheap and did the job. You connect one end to a VCR, then connect the other end to your laptop. You run the dumb proprietary software it comes with, hit play on the VCR, and it rips the output to a video file for you.

It is but for some reason people seem to think that that design would look cool sitting under their tv.

I like it because it looks like a game console from a different time. The 90s have returned, and you have a box that actually looks like something instead of just a shiny plastic brick.

Sure it looks bad, but it stirrs emotions within me.

the ps5 looks like what someone with a bose wave in 2000 thought a bose wave of 2020 would look like
