If your ps3 (like mine) was running hot try flipping the power cable.
" Just look on the AC power cable, one side has white text and one doesn’t. Make sure that both sides are facing up. My slim overheated because I (unknowingly) flipped the cord during a dust cleaning. Now it’s fine. Remeber both side with white text are both facing up.
the ac chord is the one with the one with the two circles right? mine has no white writting on it just writting thats black like the part that goes into the ps3"
